Description:
The Human Biology course is a set of learning standards that all students are expected to know and be able to do upon completion of this course. The only difference between the Human Biology and Biology curriculum is the degree of emphasis on the human organism. Biology is not a prerequisite. This course is designed to meet the requirements for biological science credit.In this course, students will investigate the process of scientific inquiry through the study of the human organism. The class will include units on the skeletal, muscular, respiratory, reproductive, immune, circulatory and nervous systems. Students will identify the structure and function of each part of each system, gaining a rich understanding of how the systems interact to permit human beings to function.

Graduation Requirements:
This course can be used toward the Science requirement for diploma-seeking students.
